Brentwood School is a special place to work. A rich and positive camaraderie exists among staff members. The administration is responsive and supportive. The learning atmosphere is organized and structured, and our expectations are high, but Brentwood is not a place of high stress or pretension.

We are blessed with little turnover, but when openings occur we look for those individuals who will fit into our family and be able to serve our exciting student body.

Salary and benefits are competitive among local private schools.

• Lead teachers must have previous experience and be appropriately currently certified.

• Assistant teachers must have education and experience appropriate to their assignment. You will have teaching responsibilities and are not an aide or helper.

• Specialists teach classes in Art, Music, Spanish, Computer, Physical Education, and Library. Most positions are part-time. Appropriate experience and education are required.

• Substitutes are important to us, and you are welcome to apply for our substitute list. Subbing allows you to know us, and us you, in personal ways. More than one substitute has moved into a staff opportunity. With our two-teacher system a substitute always works with the remaining teacher, making the experience positive and productive.
